THE Mid-Ulster Stroke Survivors Club has launched its new stroke logo and colours.

May is the UK’s first Action on Stroke Month when Stroke Association launches its new Life After Stroke campaign to highlight the impact of stroke on people’s lives.

During the month, the charity is reaching out to more survivors and is calling for better support for people affected by stroke.

The first balloon release in support of stroke will be held at the end of the month. Anyone can dedicate or simply buy a balloon for £5 online at www.justgiving.com/Stroke-AssociationNI.

There are over 4,000 people across Northern Ireland who have a stroke each year and over 31,947 people living with the effects of stroke.
