PLANS for a new drive through restaurant have been lodged with the Department of the Environment.
It is understood an application has been made for a restaurant and retail facility at the former Daintifyt factory on the Burn Road.
The application includes proposals for parking facilities and access to lands at 60 Burn Road.
A DOE spokesperson said: “Located within the designated Town Centre and identified as an Opportunity Site in the Cookstown Area Plan 2010, the application site is part of a larger plot which contains a variety of retail uses on the site of the former Daintifyt Factory. The site applied for contains a car wash and car valet centre.
“The applicant is Reamar Properties but there is no indication of the end user for the premises.
“The application is still under consideration by the Department.”
