LOCAL band The Rubber Plants return to the Burnavon this Friday for a one-night only gig in aid of Mencap and the NI Hospice.
The ultimate Led Zeppelin experience, The Rubber Plants were founded in the late 1990s, and have developed into a tight professional band whose dynamic two-hour set has been distilled into an exciting mix of power and innovation which genuinely captures the spirit of the original masters.
The gig is in aid of two local charities; Mencap, who as the voice of learning disability value and support people with a learning disability, their families and carers; and the Northern Ireland Hospice, who every year care for over 3,000 adults, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, both in hospice and in the community.
As well as supporting these charities, the guys will be recording the show for a brand new live DVD to be released later in the year.
Tickets are £10 and can be bought online at www.burnavon.com, at Box Office or by phone on 028 8676 9949. Check www.facebook.com/theburnavontheatre to find out what’s happening at the Burnavon.
