PSNI patrols in Moneymore after burglary blitz

The PSNI have taken to Facebook to reassure residents in Moneymore that they are focusing on the recent spate of burglaries.

The village has been hit by six burglaries and break-ins in less than six months.

On Friday, Cookstown PSNI posted an image of a an officer on patrol in Moneymore.

“Police tonight conducting beat and mobile patrols of Moneymore Village due to recent burglaries,” said the PSNI.

“Investigations are ongoing and we urge you to report anything suspicious to Police and Neighbours to also keep an eye out for each other.”

The crime spree prompted Mid Ulster MLA Ian McCrea to call for CCTV.
