ENQUIRY hours at Cookstown PSNI station are to be cut, it has been confirmed.
It follows a review across ‘F’ District, which takes in Cookstown, Omagh, Dungannon and Enniskillen.
Following a 24 hour, seven day a week service, the public will only be able to attend the station for “routine” enquiries between 8am and 10pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8am and 5.30pm on Sundays.
The changes are set to take effect from April 1st.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “However, Police will continue to assist anyone coming to the station in an emergency situation and ensure that the appropriate resources are tasked in an emergency so that members of the public are provided with professional assistance.”
The PSNI says the changes will bring F District “in line with other parts of Northern Ireland and the UK”.
