Seamus Heaney will be laid to rest in his native Bellaghy on Monday, after a funeral service in Donnybrook Dublin.

The poet’s remains are expected to arrive in Bellaghy at around 5pm.

On Friday, the former US president Bill Clinton added to the global praise of Seamus Heaney, saying he was “our finest poet of the rhythms of ordinary lives” and a “powerful voice for peace”.
