PLANNING applications for the Magherafelt District Council area which received approval from the Planning Office, with a number of them subject to outlines and conditions, included:

Proposed anaerobic digester and combined heat and power plant plus construction of new agricultural shed (noise impact assessment and revised supporting information received) on land adjacent to 9 Curragh Road, Maghera, for William Paul; to develop a microhydroelectric, renewable system (20kw) on the Dunlogan River, Moneyneaney, to supply existing house with surplus exported to the grid at Turbine House, 200m south west of 20 Ranaghan Road, Moneyneaney, Draperstown, for Raymond Kennedy.

Proposed farm dwelling opposite 5 and 7 Moybeg Road, Tobemore, for John Clark; retrospective application for change of use from a domestic store to additional office accommodation and a small plant and hand tools store for an existing auction 25m north west of Loves Hill, Castledawson, for Noel and Marie Lennon; retrospective application for covered seated area to provide safe viewing area for customers, associated with existing auction sales business 55m north west of Loves Hill, Castledawson, for Noel and Marie Lennon.

Retention of extensions to rear of existing bungalow and existing garage at 2 Parkmore Gardens, Magherafelt, for Wesley Kane; proposed furniture shop, parking and amended access at 38-42 Garden Street, Magherafelt, for Forbes Furniture Group; proposed agricultural shed adjacent to 140 Gulladuff Road, Bellaghy, for Paul McCorry; proposed dwelling on a farm on lands adjacent to 43 Clady Road, Glenone, Portglenone, for Andrew and Elizabeth Clunliffe.

Part change of use from agricultural shed (two thirds of shed to remain in agricultural use and one third used for agricultural vehicle repair) provision of agricultural slurry tank and vehicle parking 170m south west of 34 Loves Road, Magherafelt, for Dominic Crozier; new two storey semi detached dwelling adjacent to 7 Slemish View, Magherafelt, for Philip Wilson; single storey extension to side of dwelling at 30 Moneysallin Road, Kilrea, for Mr and Mrs B. O’Kane.

Proposed infill site on lands adjacent to 35 Gortinure Road, Maghera, for James Bradley; change of house type, new detached garage and increase in site curtilage at Mayogall Road, Gulladuff, for Mr C. Gallagher.
