THE talented Davitts Country Band have certainly left no stone unturned in preparation for the launch of their superb new CD ‘Marlena’ at the Ryandale, Moy on Wednesday night next.
Not only will the Davitts themselves be performing and showcasing numbers from their CD including the title track which is proving such a big hit on ‘Hot Country’ and various radio stations around the country just now but they will also be joined by a plethora of top-line guest artistes all of whom will enhance what promises to be a spectacular feast of entertainment.
‘Marlena’ is a number penned by the band themselves and certainly underlines their creativity and high-level musicianship.
The Davitts have slowly but surely been making inroads in the country dancing sphere and now this high-profile launch of what is regarded as a top-class CD is creating a considerable stir.
Manager Pat Kelly believes that their star-studded show in The Ryandale will help to project the band further into the limelight.
“We are delighted to have such a wealth of talent participating in this show and the indications are that it will be a bumper occasion,” says Pat.
Robert Mizzell, Hugo Duncan, Lisa McHugh, Johnny Brady, Stephen Smyth, Crystal Swing, the Benn Sisters, Vicky Kenny and Sarah Louise McFadden are among the acts who will lend lustre to a show that is in essence a veritable who’s who of country music.
There will also be a special appearance by a hugely popular mystery guest artiste and this is helping to add a dimension of intrigue to the build-up.
A stunning four-hour show is in the offing at the Ryandale which will be highlighted by the Davitts own performance and enriched by contributions from all the other participating acts.
The doors will open at 8.30 with the music due to get under way at 9.00. Admission is £12, reflecting value for money in relation to such a top-class show.
