Super councillors get super-soaking!

A group of councillors from the new Mid Ulster Council took a serious soaking this evening, Friday, when they completed the Ice Bucket Challenge in aid of charity.

Led by Sinn Fein councillor and Presiding Chair, Cathal Mallaghan, the brave group met at the rear of the Council Offices in Cookstown where council staff happily obliged by throwing large containers of icy water over the elected representatives.

When the challenge was completed, Cllr Mallaghan nominated super council Chief Executive, Anthony Tohill, to step up to the mark.

Local ratepayers will no doubt be watching out to see whether the Council Chief is now brave enough to take up the challenge!
