Two arrests after Bellaghy drugs seizure

Drugs were seized when police stopped a car near Bellaghy on Wednesday evening.

Chief Inspector Alan Hutton, the Magherafelt Area Commander, said two men, one aged 19 and the other 23, were arrested. The detection was made at New Ferry Road shortly before 8pm.

He added: “The arrests were made on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. The men were later released pending further police enquiries.”
