Charis Cancer Care’s 2015 Lady of the Lough has been named as Bernie Mullan after the fund-raising dynamo gathered the largest sum of an amazing £114,691 raised for the charity.
Bernie was crowned at a special event at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on Thursday night - she was representing company B&G Mullan.
She and all the other contestants had been working hard to raise funds to help those suffering from the effects of Cancer since August 30.
Charis has thanked all those who took part.
“The trustees and staff of Charis would sincerely like to thank all the contestants who took part in this year’s Lord or Lady of the Lough event,” a statement said.
“We know you all have worked extremely hard, not only in raising funds, but carrying the word of Charis to different parts of the country.
“We are truly thankful of your commitment and we can assure you that all monies raised will be used in caring for the most vulnerable people living with this awful disease... once again, thank you.”
