‘Mail gone by’ each week features photographs taken from the Mid-Ulster Mail’s Archive.

Today’s golden oldies come from our files for 1965, 1990, and 2005.

The Snowdrifters Showband from Cookstown pictured in front of Killymoon Castle 46 years ago - from left back row J. Fields, T. McGeown, A. Fields, N. Glenn. Front row, G. Wilson, R. Greer, R. Hamilton. The band played to thousands of dancing fans all over the country during the showband boom back in the 60's and 70's. Does anyone remember their signature tune 'North To Alaska'?
