The Tobermore Road, Draperstown, will be closed for two days next month in order to complete resurfacing work.
A £170,000 resurfacing scheme is now underway to improve the quality of the carriageway.
The work is expected to take a month to complete with fair weather and a two-way traffic flow will be in place.
The road will be closed on December 2-3 for final resurfacing.
Local Assembly Member, Ian McCrea welcomed the work saying the Tobermore Road was an essential route.
“Delays may be an issue and I would encourage motorists using this route to plan ahead to avoid disruption to journeys,” he added.
