SDC Trailers raise £20,000 for charity

Staff from SDC Trailers Toomebridge who ran the Belfast City Marathon relay this week, so far they have raised over �20,000 for their Charity of the Year; Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC).

Staff from SDC Trailers, Toomebridge have raised a very impressive £20,000 for their Charity of the Year; Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC).

Two relay teams in from their headquarters in Toomebridge completed the Belfast City Marathon at the beginning of May.

SDC’s Director Darren Donnelly, who took part in the Marathon said: “I haveseen first-hand the excellent facilities that NICFC have to offer and I am pleased that we are able to support such a worthy charity.”

The Northern Ireland Cancer fund for children offer support to children, teenagers and young adults with cancer. Last month, the NICFC opened a new therapeutic centre in the Mournes which provides families affected by childhood cancer in Northern Ireland a short break aimed to help them relax during a traumatic and challenging time.

The local company also recently, presented the Superstars Challenge GAA Jersey to Armagh’s prestigious senior inter- county footballer Ciaran McKeever.

The presentation was made following the Superstars GAA Challenge competition held in December which raised an outstanding £22,890 for Marie Curie and awareness of the Opt for Life campaign. S

DC Truck and Trailer Parts was one of ten companies who supported the charity event which saw ten of the top Gaelic Footballers in Ulster compete against each other in a series of activities.
