SPEAKING after a recent TIPSA Management Committee meeting for Cookstown and Magherafelt District Council areas, SDLP Cllr Tony Quinn has urged parents and guardians to avail of the valuable support services and advice on offer to help protect their teenagers from the dangers of alcohol and drugs.
“T.I.P.S.A’s dedicated delivery of educational programmes and outreach activities to interact with teenagers in schools, sport and youth organisations has played a crucial role in helping to tackle underage drinking and drug abuse in the locality,” he told the MAIL.

“As we enter this busy festive period I want to raise the awareness of T.I.P.S.A. among parents particularly those who at times have felt isolated or helpless and are concerned about their teenagers misusing alcohol or drugs. Christmas can be a time of great worry for some parents and I want to reassure them that professional support and advice is available.”

Parents can log onto T.I.P.S.A.’s website www.cookstownhelp.com or telephone 028 8676 3388 for more information.
