LOCAL MP Martin McGuinness and Ian Paisley are beginning a week-long trip to the United State to foster American investment in the Northern Ireland economy.
During the visit they will tour the New York stock exchange.

They will also meet the city's mayor, Michael Bloomberg, and other business and political leaders.

The visit culminates with a reception at the White House on Friday where they will meet George Bush.

It is taking place ahead of an economic conference to be held in Belfast next May.
