MAGHERAFELT Sky Blues are away to Newbuildings on Saturday in the NI Intermediate League. Kick off 2.30pm. On Saturday, April 5, the Blues are at home against Churchill United in the quarter final of the NI Challenge Cup.
Reserves travel

THE Athletic/Reserves side are away on Saturday against Brook Street FC in the quarter final of the Steele and Sons Shield.

Last Saturday Athletic’s game against Riada was postponed in the Coleraine League. They will play Magher
afelt Reds this Saturday.

‘Wee’ Blues unlucky

THE U13s lost 4-3 away on Saturday against Bertie Peacock’s U13s in the Coleraine League Cup Top Four Competition. Murphy, Taggart and McAleese hit the goals for the Magherafelt side.

The ‘wee’ Blues were 3-0 down at the interval and nearly made a spectacular comeback.

Mini soccer

THE mini soccer centre continues this Saturday morning at Spires Park. All boys and girls in the P4 to P7 (inclusive) are welcome to attend the centre, which begins at 10am until 11am. It costs £1.50 per child.

The mini soccer centre is IFA approved. All coaches are trained on the IFA mini soccer coaching award.

The club have also received training from the IFA on child protection policy. The centre is a place to provide children with a fun and safe place to make friends and play football.

AN IFA South Derry grassroots Easter mini soccer fun day will be held at Spires Park next Tuesday from 10.30am to 2pm. The cost is £5 per child, while a concessionary rate of £3 per child will be charged for two or more participating members of the same family.

GROUND development lotto numbers drawn last week were 49, 2 and 29, which no one matched to win the 1,250 jackpot.

The previous week’s £25 lucky dip winner was Theresa Martin.

SOUTH Derry Development Grassroots Football Centre will host a fund raising night at Moyola Park Golf Club on Saturday (April 5) with ex-Liverpool player Jan Molby and BBCs Joel Taggart.

There is a three course meal, music and auction. Tickets £40 each. For those wishing to attend contact Robert Rainey or Niall Curreen.
