TOBERMORE boss Aidy McLaughlin is happy with the progress of his side despite suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Irish Premier league side Coleraine on Tuesday.
"Results don't mean anything at this stage it's all about getting everybody fit for the new season," he said.

"I'm happy with the way things are going although we will be down four men on Saturday against Killymoon Rangers."

Tobermore face Kill
ymoon at Mid-Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown in the opening match of the IFA Championship and will be out to get three points.

Returning to the line up was last season's leading goal score Paul 'Snowy' McLaughlin who will hopefully work his magic up front with help from Gavin Doherty and Simon Logan.

Tuesday night's game was all square for the first half hour before the Bannsiders took the lead through Gareth Harkin who slotted home from 20 yards.

Four minutes before the break the lead was doubled as Tobermore keeper McGraw fumbled a McCallion corner, allowing Jody Tolan to finish from five yards.

Darragh Hanna scored Tobermore's goal in their 2-1 defeat against Raceview last Saturday in a friendly at Mill Park.

Despite dominating most of the match, the visitors got the opened on 44 minutes when Bobby Hanna headed home and Matthew Boyd hit the winner in the 69th minute.

Tobermore United's mini soccer school resumes this Saturday after the summer break at Maghera Leisure Centre, between 10 and 11am.

The fun sessions are supervised by qualified coaches and are open to all boys and girls of primary school age.

Players should come kitted out ready to play with trainers and shin guards essential for one hour or quality coaching and fun games.
