The match was a lot closer than the score line suggests. On a day when Lady Luck totally deserted the club, Killymoon had two half chances before conceding two goals in two minutes. The Young Killymoon team were shocked and managed to steady the ship and continued to play football on a soft pitch which suited Dunloy who preferred to bypass the midfield.

Killymoon had a couple of half chances which they did not take before Dunloy went further ahead.

A Roger Greer thunderbolt came back off the wood work to leave it 4-0 at half time.

A similar story proceeded in the second half and Killymoon were not helped when Roger Greer had to come off with 20 minutes to go. Killymoon were then forced to play the final 10 minutes with virtually 10 men when another player got hurt and, with all three subs on the field, Killymoon had to soldier on.

This Saturday Killymoon Rangers play Rathcoole at 2pm at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown. Killymoon will be looking to get back to winning ways on their home ground.
