A tackle on the edge of the box in the first 50 seconds gave the visitors a dream start after Glenn Waddle’s deflected free kick wrong footed Hassan for the opener.

Coagh continued to lose the ball going forward which made it easy for the Banbridge side to push Coagh back into their own half.

Coagh’s lone striker Dermot McGuckin missed a great opportunity when he ran clear on the keeper on 20 minutes only to see Croft make the save.

Five minutes later Coagh were level after Stephen Glasgow headed home Kempton’s corner kick. In the second half Coagh went back to giving the ball away which gifted to two goals for the visitors. Their second was scored by Ally Wilson when he took advantage of Coagh’s slack play.

Willie Hassan will be very disappointed he did not make the save after he have parried Wilson save only to see the ball go into the net. Coagh huffed and puffed after this but there was to be no come back.

This week Coagh travel to Ballymoney in a must win game. Kick-off is 3pm.
