Cookstown Celtic entertained Donacloney at the Fairhill on Saturday and recorded a 1-0 victory.
Both teams started slowly with neither side creating any chances in the opening exchanges. Celtic thought they should have been awarded a penalty when McGahan was upended in the box but the referee waved play on.
Celtic broke the deadlock midway through the half after a fine flowing move. A Harley pass saw Hagan produce a wonderful cross for O’Neill to dispatched to the goal.
Celtic were now dominating possession and almost double their lead when McGahan latched on to a Hagan flick on but his effort went just wide of the post.
Celtic began the second half were they left off and could have extended their lead with efforts from Hagan, McCaffrey and McCloskey. Celtic were coping well with the aerial threat of Donacloney attacks with O’Hare and Hughes keeping the Donacloney attackers under control.
Celtic thought they had got their second after Harleys cross found McCloskey but somehow the visitors keeper kept his effort out.

This Saturday Cookstown Celtic travel to Tandragee to take on Mowhan Utd in league action. Kick Off 2.15pm
