With a few of the first team away the management had some tough choices to make
As the game got underway the skills of the Dungannon players and the pace of the game began to wear down Desertmartin.
Nellie had a tough time in goals and with a few great saves it was still the Dungannon side who game out the victors on the night. The Desert fought hard and did not give up even when the goals kept coming for the visitors.
Refreshments were served up to both teams and Norman Caskey thanked Dungannon for travelling up to Dromore Park and wished them all the very best for the forth coming season.
Joe McAree thanked Desertmartin for their warm welcome and friendship and that the club should be very proud of what they had achieved at Dromore Park with the band of hard working, loyal and dedicated people behind the scenes the club would not be where it is today.
He also thanked Valerie for the great spread that she put on and Joe even said in his 42 years in football no-one had every gave the players ice cream after the match. The players were delighted to see it and it went down a treat.
Desertmartin would like to thank all the teams for coming along to Dromore Park for preseason friendlies and the refs and linesmen for giving up their time.
All money raised at these matches are being used to help with the development fund for the new pitch.
