Cookstown Celtic travelled to take on Lurgan Institute on Saturday and recorded all three points with a comfortable 6-0 victory.

Celtic opened the scoring after fifteen minutes when Mick Hagan headed home an O’Neill cross.

The Cookstown men doubled their lead soon after when Mullan was on hand to head home from a corner. Celtic got their third before half time when Mullan teed up Reilly who finished well.

Celtic started the second half well and Hagan got his second when he smashed home from inside the area. The hosts were awarded a penalty but Cummings saved well to keep the clean sheet intact.

Hagan completed his hat trick when his fierce twenty five yard drive found the bottom corner. Celtic then completed the scoring when McNicholl burst by three defenders before squaring for Hagan to finish for his fourth goal.

Cookstown Celtic will be on their travels on Wednesday night when they take on Red Star in Armagh with a 7pm kick off.

On Saturday Cookstown Celtic will host Armagh Rovers in their final home game of the season with a 2.15pm kick off at Fairhill.

There will be no training this Wednesday due to midweek fixtures.
