Queens 3 Tobermore United 2-

Tobermore were on the road again last Saturday when they travelled to Belfast to play Queens University in the league.

United were without a number of regulars due to suspensions, injuries and unavailability and it showed as the side put in a very poor first half display.

Such was the nature of the Tobermore first half peformance, the students raced into a three goal lead with less than 30 minutes on the clock.

The second half was a completely different affair with Tobermore showing some passion and effort that seemed to be lacking in the first half and they pulled one back in the 58th minute when Trevor Parkhill drilled home from the penalty spot awarded for a foul on James McGahan.

Parkhill had the students really panicking when he scored his and Tobermore’s second with a screamer on 75 minutes but despite a valiant second half fight back a third and deserved equalizer wasn’t to be.
