Full month without league action for Tobermore

FOR the third week running Tobermore had no fixture and indeed you have to go back to December 31st last year to find when they last played a league game which was an away win at Glebe Rangers.

Not ideal preparation for a trip to league leaders Ballinamallard but that is what Tobermore face this Saturday and with the extended break everyone is looking forward to it.

This will be Oliver McAuley’s first game in charge since Johnny Law’s sudden departure and it will be a tough baptism. The Reds have played their hosts twice already this season narrowly losing in the league and a cup game.

Danny Gardner is suspended for the game and Hugo Batista is still injured but apart from that a full squad should be available for selection.

Unbelievably Tobermore’s next scheduled game is at home to Limavady United on February 25th but they are hopeful that the IFA will reschedule games for Feb 12th and 19th.

Tobermore Mini Soccer sessions continue this Saturday in Maghera Recreation Centre, from 10.00 am until 11.00. Players as usual should come along kitted out ready to play with shin guards and trainers essential (not football boots).

The fun sessions are supervised by IFA accredited coaches and are open to all boys and girls of primary school age.
