Magherafelt Harriers athletes, Niall Higgins and Darren Church recently completed the gruelling Energia 24 Hour Race at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast running for more than 100 miles.
Along with 50 other athletes, Niall and Darren started at 6.45pm in warm but perfect conditions for running.
Niall and Darren had a few tough moments throughout the 24 hours were they had to dig very deep but thanks to some physio, support and encouragement from their families, friends and support crew they were able to complete the race.
Niall and Darren went on to achieve their dreams of breaking the 100 mile mark inside 24 hours.
This was an outstanding achievement by both Niall and Darren, who were both raising money for two very worthy charities, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland and Parkinsons Disease.
