Training for the new season begins on Saturday 30th June at noon at Spires Park, for all first team and reserve team players. Anyone interested in joining the club will be most welcome.

The Magherafelt Sky Blues Ground Development Lotto will continue next weekend.

No one matched the correct numbers last week. The £25 lucky dip winner for last week was G. Quinn.

Tickets are on sale for next Saturday’s draw from all committee members. The jackpot is now £475.

New Season

At present it is proposed that five of Magherafelt Sky Blues Youth Teams will be participating in the National League, Under 12, Under 13, Under 14, Under 15 and Under17.

Under 12

Will be in Group A along with Ballinamallard United, Bertie Peacock Youth, Coleraine Academy, Derry Colts, Dungannon Youth, Foyle Harps, Maiden City, North End and Portadown Youth. They will play each other once, then the top five in group A and B will play each other twice and the same for the bottom five teams from each section

Under 13

Will be Section A along with Ballinamallard Youth, Carniny Youth, Cliftonville, Derry Colts, Dungannon Youth, Limavady Youth, Linfield, Lisburn Youth,, Ridgeway Rovers, Sion Swifts and St Oliver Plunkett FC.

Under 14

Will be in Section B along with Ballymena Youth Academy, Ballymoney United, Bertie Peacock Youth, North End United, Coleraine Academy, Cookstown Youth FC, Crusaders, Derry Colts, Glenavon, Glendowan, Glentoran Academy and Warrenpoint Town.

Under 15

Will be in Section B along with Ballymena Youth Academy, Ballymoney United, Carniny Youth, Coleraine Academy, Cookstown Youth, Derry Colts, Glendowan, and Limavady Youth. Portadown Youth, Tri-Star Boys, Trojans and Warrenpoint Town

Under 17

This league has yet to be confirmed; if going ahead the Blues will be along with Ballymena United, Cliftonville, Foyle Harps, Glenavon, Larne Youth, Limavady Youths, Linfield and Warrenpoint Town.

Sky Blues Annual Golf Day at Ronan Valley Saturday 28th July.

Yes the Magherafelt Sky Blues annual fundraising golf event takes place at Ronan Valley on Saturday 28th July.

It costs £80 per four ball team for adults (18 and over) and £40 per four ball team for juniors (17 and under). There are prizes for the overall winners, runners-up, as well as individual prizes for closest to the pin and many others.
