Moyola entertained Wakehurst at the Mill Meadow on Saturday at the first of their final three home games.
The visitors had the first chance of the game in the 5th minute when R Gregg had a shot saved by Maguire. A minute later a move involving Stewart, McQuillan and Paul saw a shot easily saved by Maybin.In the 12th minute the home side nearly scored when a run and cross from the right by Paul was deflected onto his own cross bar by Crawford. A minute later at the other end a cross from the right was headed on by McLean but Kenning failed to get on the end of it. In the 19th minute Kenning had a long range shot for the home side saved by Maybin. In the 29th minute a free kick for Wakehurst by McCaughern was headed wide by Paul. In the 32nd minute the visitors made a change with Culbertson replacing Laughlin. Moyola had a goal ruled out in the 41st minute for offside when Kenning found Paul and he fired past Maybin. With the first half coming to a close, a ball down the left to McCaughern was crossed over and Crawford fired a header off the cross bar and the ball bounced over the line to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. The visitors thought they had extended their lead when a cross on the left was headed in by Culbertson but the assistant referee adjudged him to be offside.
The home had the first chance of the second half when Paul found Kenning and his weak shot was saved by Maybin. The visitors had a chance to extend their lead in the 56th minute when a free header by Colville was cleared off the line by Lucas at the back post. Ten minutes later a great ball from Culbertson found C Gregg and he beat the offside trap and also Maguire, however his shot came back off the post and was cleared. A minute later at the other end, Paul had a free kick saved by Maybin. The home side pushed for an equaliser and in the 69th minute a move involving Kenning and Paul saw the ball drop to McFadden who fired his shot over. The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 71st minute when R Gregg was shown a straight red card for kicking the ball at Lucas on the ground. With very few chances in the remaining minutes of the game, the game finished 1-0 to the visitors.
