Celtic almost got off to the perfect start when a cross from Hagan found the on-rushing O’Hare but he couldn’t keep his effort down when a goal looked certain.

The visitors began to find their feet and had several good chances which were well saved by McGuigan in the Celtic goal. Both sides had further chances but couldnt make the breakthrough before half time.

Celtic thought they had took the lead soon into the second half when a great run from Hagan allowed him to pick out Loughran who smashed the ball off the bar but unfortunately for the hosts it didnt cross the line.

Celtic did however open the scoring midway through the second period when a fine long ball from Hagan found McNicholl who checked inside the defender before curling a delightful left footed effort beyond the helpless Caledon keeper.

Celtic doubled their advantage shortly after when Hagan cut in from the left before firing home with his right foot from 25 yards. Hagan got his second and Celtic’s third with minutes remaining to complete the scoring.
