MOYOLA travelled to Newforge on Saturday to take on the PSNI looking to improve on last week’s poor performance against Killymoon Rangers.
In a game of very few chances the PSNI took the lead in the 10th minute when McCartan opened the scoring after Maguire had parried a header from McCrory following a Hadden corner.
The home side nearly doubled their lead in the 13th minute when a wayward header from Kelly nearly beat Maguire in the visiting goal. The rest of the half had very few chances with the visiting defensive pair of Kelly and McQuillan keeping the PSNI forward line at bay. Moyola equalised against the run of play in the 41st minute when Harkness received the ball inside the PSNI penalty area and turned and hit his shot in off the post and past Wilson.
Moyola started off the second half a lot better and threatened more on the break. The first effort of the second half fell to McIntyre for the visitors in the 46th minute however; his shot was saved by Wilson. Moyola made a change in the 65th minute with McLean replacing the injured Lucas and Stewart reverted into the left back slot.
Holden thought he had scored the winner in the closing minutes when he lobbed Maguire from ten yards only to see Kelly divert the ball over the bar.
