ALL of the local Irish League sides return to league action this weekend. Tobermore United finally get a chance to play at home for the first time since the middle of December.

United host David Platt’s Limavady United, in what is new gaffer Oliver McAuley’s first home game in charge.

The Fortwilliam Park based side are notoriously difficult to beat on their own turf and they will be hoping for another three points that moves them further away from the relegation scrap at the bottom.

United surprised the entire league by defeating Limavady in the opening game of the season by 4-2 and a similar scoreline tomorrow would be welcomed by the Tobermore support.

The form of Sammy Foster will be crucial to their chances tomorrow. The talented shot stopper has been their stand out performer with some outstanding performances.

Veteran Adrian Whiteside has departed to Moyola Park and Tobermore will be hoping that their defence stays strong against what is a talented Limavady outfit.

Championship 2 rivals Moyola Park and Killymoon Rangers meet at the Mill Meadow tomorrow afternoon in what has been called a relegation six pointer.

Both sides currently sit on 13 points with Killymoon above their Castledawson rivals on goal difference. The MUSA based side also have a game in hand. The victor will move seven points clear of basement outfit Chimey Corner. However, if the Allen Park side win at home to Lurgan Celtic they will reduce the gap to just two points.

Coagh United will be hoping to forget about their up and coming Irish Cup quarter final at Windsor Park and claim a priceless victory away to West Belfast outfit Sport and Leisure.

It took United two games to put away Newbuildings United and the village is buzzing ahead of their visit to the Cup favourites.

Nonetheless bosses Stephen Uprichard and Noel Mitchell will be re-iterating that the league is their priority and victory in Belfast would push them closer to promotion.

Mid Ulster Mail Sports Predictions.

Tobermore United 2 Limavady United 1- Tobermore have been in good form at home and they will be eager to get back to league action after only one game over the last few months.

Moyola Park 1 Killymoon Rangers 1- It is a game which both sides will be striving for all three points. It is a game neither manager will want to lose. Both of the sides are used to playing on 3G surfaces and a nervy draw is on the cards.

Sport and Leisure 1 Coagh United 2- United to continue their recent good form with a crucial victory on the road. Coagh have two wily managers in Uprichard and Mitchell and they will be placing huge emphasis on forgetting about the Linfield game and focusing on one game at a time.
