Former Liverpool and England midfielder, Steven Gerrard, has hinted that he is set to leave American team L.A. Galaxy after he posted a message on Instagram at the weekend.
The 36 year-old footballer joined L.A. Galaxy on a free transfer from Liverpool in 2015.
Gerrard posted a photo of himself in L.A. on Sunday evening and hinted at his departure when he said “special place, I will miss you L.A.”
It is believed Gerrard’s wife and children moved back to Liverpool earlier this year.
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, told Gerrard that there will always be a place for him at Anfield and there is a possibility he could join the club’s coaching staff in the next few months.
However, should Gerrard decide to prolong his playing career, he could join Scottish Premier League champions, Glasgow Celtic, who are reportedly interested in bringing the talented midfielder to Park Head.
Championship side, Newcastle United are also believed to be interested in signing Gerrard but SkyBet have Celtic as favourites at 4/1.
