FOR the third year in a row County Tyrone face Manchester United at the NI Milk Cup.
However, this time round Tyrone will be hoping that home comforts could spur them on in what is sure to be an intriguing contest. In an minor alteration to the format of the tournament, the six county sides will host two teams on the Saturday, prior to making their way up to the North Coast.
Last Friday’s draw at the BBC Blackstaff Studios threw up some interesting fixtures in both age groups.
Tyrone’s Juniors who are coached by Cookstown local Conor Marlin and Institute man Paul Kee, will take on Ipswich Town on the opening day of the tournament. On the Monday morning they face Israeli regulars Hapoel Haifa. They conclude their qualifying campaign with a local derby against County Armagh.
The Premier outfit are once again managed by the newly installed Dergview manager, Tommy Canning. After hosting the Old Trafford giants, they also face County Armagh and on Tuesday take on American outfit South Coast Strikers.
