MOYOLA entertained Killymoon at the Mill Meadow on Saturday in a six pointer with Moyola old boys Montgomery, Smith and Harkness all in the visitors starting eleven.
The visitors had the first effort of the game in the 3rd minute when McMullan fired a shot wide.
In the 11th minute a free kick by Young for the visitors was cleared by McElhatton and McGarvey fired a shot off the top of the home cross bar. In a game of very few chances a cross from Hassan was flicked on by McElhatton to Pattison and he fired the ball past Brown in the visitors goal.
The home side should have doubled the lead in the 29th minute when Lucas found himself free on the left and when well placed to shoot he squared the ball to Hassan who somehow hit the post and a resulting pass from McElhatton found Lucas and his shot was saved by Brown.
Moyola doubled the scoring in the 34th minute a ball found Lucas on the left and he beat his man and cut inside and fired a right foot shot into the far corner.
In a second half of very few chances a free kick by Smith for the visitors in the 65th minute was saved by Maguire. The visitors continued to look for a way back into the game however; they found the Moyola defence in hard to get past. Moyola made there only change in the 80th minute with Holmes replacing Hassan.
In the last minute a ball from the Killymoon number ten found there number seven but his tame header was saved by Maguire.
This was a good performance by the home side and a valuable three points in the fight to move from the bottom of the table.
