Cookstown

THIS week’s lotto numbers were 5,7,13,20. There were four match three winners who received £25. The jackpot next week is £1700.

DVDs of the All Ireland club final and Ulster final are on sale on Monday evening at 6-7pm at the clubrooms. The perfect stocking filler this Christmas, for all supporters both at home and abroad.

The next Committee meeting will take place on Monday 16th January following the lotto. Can all members of the committee please have membership for the up-coming year paid prior to this meeting.

On Monday 9th January a meeting will take place at the club aimed at formulating the club youth strategy for the next five years. Anyone with any opinion on youth football at the club and the direction which the club should take, should attend the meeting. Youth coaches and managers should also be in attendance.

The club has started underage training in Holy Trinity Primary school every Thursday and Friday at 3pm. Coaching is available for all P6/7 pupils on Thursday afternoon and all P4/5 pupils on Friday afternoon. All children are welcome to attend, particularly those who have not been involved with Fr Rocks before. Please note that the coaching will resume after the Christmas holidays.

Any players wishing to play Under 14 Football this season should attend a players meeting at the clubrooms on Thursday 4th January at 7pm.

A night at the races will be held at the end of January the proceeds of which will go towards the senior players fund. All senior players will be selling horses for the night over the next few weeks.

A meeting for all interested in playing Minor Ladies football next season will take place at the clubrooms on Thursday 15th December. Starting at 7.30pm the meeting will kick start the ladies football season for 2012.

Lissan

THERE will be a children’s Santa Sunday at the Clubrooms on Sunday 18th December.

Come along free of charge to visit Santa, receive kiddies presents and join in the Christmas carols.

There will also be a raffle with some lovely festive prizes. The event will begin at 2pm until 5pm.

The lotto is back to £500.00 after Joanna Quinn’s big win of the jackport last week.

Lotto tickets are available from committee members and can also be purchased at Lissan Go filling Station.

The lotto is very important to the club and we would encourage as much support as possible.

Jiving classes continue this Thursday 8pm-9:30pm at the clubrooms. Classes are £3 per session. All are welcome!

Moneymore

THE Annual Convention has been refixed for Wednesday 4th January 2012 at 7.30pm in the Community Centre.

All motions, recommendations and nominations to be with the secretary before then.We would encourage all members, players, parents, and supporters to attend and support the election of new club officers.

It is very important that all members attend and contribute to the promotion of Gaelic Games in Moneymore.

Centenary Booklet

Anyone wishing to purchase a Centenary Booklet can do so at £10. If you contact Roddy on 07879338500, he will get an order together to have it before Christmas. Deadline Friday 18th December.

THE winning lotto numbers from Monday 12th December were; 1, 9, 10, 23 and 30, well done to Michael Kane who matched four numbers and was only one number away from winning the lotto. Next lotto draw on Monday 19th December in Nugent’s bar at 9pm, snowball back to £100.

The AGM took place on Tuesday 6th December, at Plunkett Park. The handball season continues with the following timetable for all our youth;

All classes are for 1 hour.

THE Committee, Players and Members of St Malachy’s GAC regret the deaths of Seamus Doherty and Frank Hardy, uncles of Damien and great uncles of Kevin.

We also regret the deaths of former player Frank Maguire and Susanna McMurray Grandmother of Malachy. May they rest in peace.

Lotto numbers drawn on December 12th were 1,2,8 and 19. There was no jackpot winner so £25 goes to Sean Gallagher and John McKenna. The Lotto is the Club’s financial lifeline and you can support us by buying tickets from any Committee member. The Jackpot now stands at £3,400.

Last Man Standing is down to 81 players now with only 9 on 2 lives. For those left in it will be a very tight turnaround next weekend as there are mid week games and on St Stephen’s Day.

St Malachy’s has launched the Tour of Doire 2012. The 2 day cycling event on May 5th and 6th will raise funds for local charities and the Club. More details are available on the website.

Rossa Underage Presentation

THIS year’s Underage Presentation took place on Sunday past in Magherafelt Parish Centre.

Presentations were made to the young boys and girls football teams and Camogs from U12 to Minor grades. Pride of place went to the ladies footballers who won the County Under 15 and Minor Championships, and to the Under 16 Camogs who won their County Championship as well. Winners were as follows; Boys Under 12 Football – Player of the Year Giuseppe Lupari, Most Improved Player Peter Tohill, Personality of the Year Rory McAuley.

Boys Under 14 Football – Player of the Year Michael Lynch, Most Improved Player Conlith McElhone, Personality of the Year Ben Gallagher.

Boys Under 16 Football – Player of the Year Barry Murphy, Most Improved Player Daniel Fox, Personality of the Year Conor Gribben.

A special presentation was also made to the Underage Supporter of the Year, Shane McGuckin, in recognition for the many miles he has clocked up this year following all the Underage Rossa teams.

Congratulations to the Rossa Ballad Group of Lauren Millar, Sarah McErlain, Eimear Kearney, Aideen McAuley and Enya Loughlin, who won their semi final heat of the Ulster Scor na nOg Ballad Group competition in Glenullin on Saturday evening past. They will now take part in the Ulster Scor Final on 14th January 2012 in Galbally. All support for the girls will be appreciated. Good Luck to the girls.

Rossa Slim-a-Ton will take place during the first three months of 2012. If you want to lose a bit of weight and get a little fitter, why not come to the registration night next Monday 19th December, 7.30pm at the MacFlynn Suite in Rossa Park.

“Townies Ball”

Rossa Annual Convention / AGM

This year’s Convention / AGM will take place on Wednesday 11th January 2012 at 7.30pm in the MacFlynn Suite Rossa Park. All members will be notified formally in advance of the AGM.

Kildress

Newbridge

THE club will be holding a ‘Star in their Eyes’ night on Wednesday 28th December at 8pm in the Hall and Disco will follow the show. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased at either Newbridge Stores, Credit Union or from any committee member. Tickets are being snapped up very quickly so its in your best interests to get your hands on one ASAP to avoid being disappointed!

There is a Facebook page setup where information, pictures and videos will be added in the coming days and weeks.

Both Circuits (7.30pm) and Texas Hold’em Poker (8.30pm) continue to take place in the hall every Friday night.

The AGM will take place on Sunday 8th January 2012 in the Hall. All members are asked to attend.

Stewartstown

THANKS to everyone who helped with the quiz on Saturday night and thanks to those who attended.

The indoor training continues in the hall on Friday nights. Times are 6pm- 7pm for U6, 7pm- 8pm for U8, 8pm- 9pm for U10 and U12. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The set up at Mullaghmoyle is a testament to the generosity and hard work of our local community.
