Derrylaughan 1-9 Errigal Ciaran 0-15

Errigal Ciaran are still on course for the double after securing the final league semi final place with this three point win away to Derrylaughan on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors fielded without any of the players who started in their recent county final win and they were out of the traps quickly with the opening three points from Patrick McDermott, John Kelly and Darren Canavan.

The Kevin Barrys though had the better of things for the rest of the first half and points from Ciaran and Liam Gervin coupled with a goal from the latter enabled them to lead 1-4 to 0-6 at the break.

In the second period the visitors were the better side with Canavan and Stephen McRory hitting half a dozen points between them as they came from behind to get their noses in front.

Derrylaughan responded through Ciaran Quinn, Conor McCabe and Liam Gervin but it was the Dunmoyle based men who claimed the last semi final spot with McDermott and Rory McCann scoring late points for them as they maintained their good ruin ahead of their eagerly awaited Ulster Club clash with Ballinderry next weekend.

Derrylaughan scorers – Liam Gervin 1-4, Ciaran Gervin 0-2, Mickey McCuskey 0-1, Ciaran Quinn 0-1, Conor McCabe 0-1
