Starting from 11am on the Saturday 9th March in the Pavillion. Screening available for males and females aged from 14-35. The cost of this screening is £35 per person. To book at slot at the clinic email corrina.grimes@gmail.com or telephone Kieran Grimes 07795681000 or Aidan Quinn. The lower age limit is 14 years, as the child’s heart is not fully formed until age 14. If screened before this age many more tests would be listed as abnormal, causing undue further testing and increased anxiety. Our upper age limit is 35, as above this age the person is more likely to have problems due to heart disease, rather than issues associated with sudden cardiac death. (We can screen sports people slightly over this age as long as they have no history of heart disease.)

If you need anything from the club shop contact Leanne Begley on 07986705485 or at home after 5pm on 87758469 or Alice Begley on 87759148, the ladies have a variety of stock.

Our Lady of Knock pray for him.

COOKSTOWN

A superb battling team performance saw Fr Rock’s through to the All Ireland Intermediate final when they had the minimum to spare over Mayo and Connacht champions Charlestown at Pearse Park in Longford. Both sides had chances in extra time and the game had a dramatic ending when Charlestown substitute Maye failed to convert a thirteen metre free from almost in front off the posts, with the last kick of the game. There was wild celebrations in the stands as the final whistle sounded leaving the scoreline 1-8 to 1-7 to Fr Rocks. This was a brilliant team performance which saw every player dig out a result, which ensures the club returns to Headquarters once again for another All Ireland Final, against Kerry champions Finuge on Saturday 9th Feb at Croke Park. The throw in time will be confirmed later in the week. A massive well done to all players and management on what must rank as one of the club’s most memorable victories.

We would ask that as many people as possible support this fundraiser and all entries must be submitted by 1st February. All money raised on this fundraiser will be used for our up coming All Ireland Final fund.

Under new ruling from congress all players up to and including minor as of January 1st 2013 will have to wear a mouthguard in all Gaelic football training sessions and matches.
