The match started with the Coleraine girls attacking strongly.

The Rainey tried not to let Coleraine get any goals with some great defending from Abbie Speers, Victoria Cousley and Zoe Crooks.

After temporarily putting out Coleraine’s fire the Rainey girls went back out on attack, with Sarah Thomson, Ellen Campbell and Betty Scott making some good runs, working gradually towards the circle.

Cara Brown, Alex Burns and Lauren Mulholland worked well and made some nice passes, one of which was well picked up by Andrea Hegarty who quickly put the ball into the back of the net.

In the second half Rainey won some short corners but unfortunately no goals came.

In the last couple of minutes Coleraine made a break into the Rainey circle and nearly scored but goalie Victoria Cousley made an amazing save to secure the girls the match.
