Jason breaks lap record at Kirkistown

SCHOOLBOY Jason Lynn got a double win at Kirkstown on Saturday riding his 125 GP Honda in the Clubmans Championship.

The 13 year old short circuit racer from Upperlands got pole position in practice and put in the fastest lap in each race on his way to his first double win.

He also broke the newcomers lap record which was previously 1 minute 3.846 seconds set in September 2005. Jason’s new record now stands at 1 minute 2.638 seconds.

The Magherafelt High School pupil now sits in second position in the championship and has his sights set on winning it.

He would like to thank all involved in the running of the Robert Lynn Honda this year so far, and he looks forward to his next race at Bishopscourt on July 24.
