The Eagles Special Olympics Club athletes who are on the Team Ulster squad for Limerick 2014 had their first taste of team training on Sunday last at the Antrim Forum.
This will be the norm for these athletes over the coming months as they prepare for the 2014 National Games.
The Eagles SO Club wish them well and also good luck to our club Coaches who also take on the mantle of Team Ulster coaches, this will be a learning curve for all involved and the message is to enjoy.
The Eagles athletes who are not going to Limerick are also in training in new sports and trying to improve in existing sports. These athletes are equally as important to the clubs progression and development and they too will look ahead to some competitive action the other side of Christmas.
The club are looking ahead to some very special calendar dates at the moment with Friday December 6 a night for the diary as it is the club’s annual Athlete Fund Gala Christmas Quiz night. This promises to be a biggy with hampers etc all up for grabs so gather a team together and have a night out with the Eagles.
