SPERRIN Harriers had 14 athletes at the Torrent Complex 5 mile road race in Donaghmore last Saturday where over 100 athletes went to the start.

The club had plenty of podium finishers on the day and there was none more deserving that second and third placing for sisters Pauline McGurrin 33-20 and Angela O’Neill 35-00, who took the podium in the Ladies open race well done to the sisters who only joined the club a few months ago.

But the men were not to be left out with Paul McLaughlin having a great run to take 3rd position in the men’s open. But the young fellas Irwin Speirs and Trevor Dallas were not to be left out when the finished 1st and 2nd in the O/50s with Irwin in a time of 33-17 and Trevor 34-48.

Other Harriers times Sean O’Gara 31-22, Alan Shaw 32-33, John McElroy 33-30, Barry O’Neill 35-51, Jeremy Dobson 36-23, Hannha Su (L) 43-18, Deirdre Bradley (L) 45-41, Kieran O’Hagan 46-28, Maureen Mullin (L) 51-18. Well done to all that ran
