Last Thursday, East Tyrone CC held Round 7 of the Coopers TT League - this event was a 10 mile Hilly time trial.

This involved a start point at the Lissan Road 30 mph zone and headed towards Lough Fea, turning right at the top of the water works - fives miles out and five miles back

The route out was a tough 600 feet climb to the top with a head wind. Naturally the route back to Cookstown was fast, mostly down hill with a tail wind.

On the night 17 riders took part to test themselves and target points for the TT league.

Once again Gary Jeffers took top spot. He somehow effortlessly seems to be able to clock up these fantastic times and on this occasion he managed 26:42 on this circuit.

However once again 15 year old Jake Grey showed just why so many are tipping him for greatness as he was only 23 seconds shy of Gary’s time to take second place .

Third on the night was Richard Archer who has continued with a solid TT performance all season.

We would like to thank all the timekeepers and sign on team for their support; Leslie for looking after the road signs, and the Donaghys for the use of their lane.

After 7 round the Coopers table looks like attached.
