The wintry blast over the weekend forced the postponement of Saturday’s Florida Doubles event at Killymoon but then even in Florida the weather caused problems over the weekend.

The qualifier will thus be rescheduled for later in the year.

It’s fingers crossed for the holiday weekend when it’s a case of stableford on Saturday and stroke on Sunday as members will contest the Lombard Trophy and Moutray Cup respectively.

An Open Stableford will be played on Easter Monday when members can play in the competition and enjoy a Golfer’s Fry for £8.

Visitors can actually avail of the same opportunity for £15.

The first of the 2013 Senior Open competitions using the Stableford scoring format will take place on Wednesday 3rd April. Booking is now available online.

Entry sheets for the Sloane Cup, Twigg Cup and Presidents Trophy have also been posted downstairs.
