Have your say

AARON Meharg had a great run today when he led Sperrin Harriers home in the Laganside 10K, in a race with over 1000 athletes.

Aaron started steadily and was was running not far behind club mate Christopher McPeake but at 3K Christopher pulled up with an injury, so Aaron seized his opportunity and picked up the pace to put in a great first lap and was running close to a PB.

Further back Irwin Speirs was having a good race with Gregory Cahoon just behind him and he was looking to get a PB on this fast course behind him came Oliver Murphy and Michael McCorry.

Aaron really piled the pressure on over the last mile and was sprinting down the finishing straight to cross the line in a great new PB time of 35-57 next to cross was the Irwin who was having his best race in over a year when he ran time of 40-30. Next to cross the line and also running a PB of 41-20 was Gregory with Oliver next in 46-58 and then Michael also running a PB time of 51-43.
