Congratulations to Sperrin Harrier Mel Hughes who was the winner of the Cormac 10K in Eglish in a time of 38 minsutes.
Other Harriers who put in strong performances were Barry O’Neill (45.20) and Patsy Hughes (47 mins).
Congratulations also to Sperrin Harrier Lady Ursula Kelly who picked up 3rd prize and narrowly missing out on second place, at the Surf n Turf Half Marathon last Saturday.
This tough 13.1 mile race is ran over multiple terrains including sand. Her sister Louise Kelly also completed in the 10k race achieving a respectable time of 51 minutes 55 seconds.
Les Jones Memorial 10k- On Friday evening well over 200 runners set off from Mary Peters Track in warm sunny conditions.
The runners headed out the Malone Road, along the scenic Lagan Towpath, finishing back on Mary Peters Track. Toirleach Gourley representing Sperrin Harriers completed in a time of 47.10.

Sperrin Harriers is expanding its coaching base and is offering members the opportunity to take up coaching courses. Any member considering taking up coaching should contact Sean Donnelly and then make their application to the Secretary.
