Castle lofts sweep to victory

AFTER being caught on the run in for the post a number of times in the past, the Castle Lofts of Joe McCormick made no mistake this time.

After getting his head in front he swept to victory in last weeks race from Clonmel ending the unbroken run of the in form lofts of Glenn and Stan Smith. Joe has been knocking on the door all season and in this race he franked the form taking first, third and eighth club positions and a magnificent 2nd Section A and 5th Open NIPA.

In second position in the club was the Derrigonnigan Lofts of G & S Smith with the Steeple Lofts and Mill Lane Lofts of the Marshall cousins also in the result as we approach the first channel race.
