Nico ready for new season

Local motorcycle racer Nico Mawhinney has ended his 2012 irish superbike seasom with some mixed fortunes.

Nico’s season was to see him riding in the Superbike, Supersport and 250gp championships. Nico ended up with 4th in the superbike,10th in the supersport and 4th on the 250 championships. results could have been better only for two of the counting championship points rounds, were canceled by promoting clubs.

A bonus to the season was that nico set a few fastest race laps on the 250 and only points of a second off the lap records on his way to 4th in the championship.

Nico would like to thank all his sponsors and his supporters club for their continued commitment both for their hard work and financially backing.

Team Polaris Racing supporters club will be having a “night at the races” in the Moyola Football Club this saturday night 17th November. There will be a finger buffet and music is provided by DJ mighty Quinn Roadshow. so come along for what is always a good nights craic.
