Slideshow: Derrylaughan Pedal the Pond Challenge

Over 70 cyclists completed the Pedal the Pond Challenge on Saturday, a lap of Lough Neagh, organised by Derrylaughan Kevin Barry’s GAC for two very worthy charities.

The cyclists departed the Barry’s home ground on the shores of Lough Neagh before 8 o’clock on Saturday morning and complete the challenge decked out in their specially designed cycle shirts.

Another 20 cyclists completed the slightly less demanding 40 mile cycle that was planned for them.

All money raised from the cycle will go to two main charities Clic Sargent Cancer Care and Action Duchenne.

The successful venture is the follow up to last year’s 100 mile cycle from Kevin Barry’s grave in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin to Derrylaughan.
