SOCCER: Desert' miss chance to progress in cup

SCORING twice, two goals disallowed and a missed penalty yet Desertmartin still finished up on the losing side and knocked out of the Intermediate Cup by Rathfern FC at Rathcoole last Saturday.

Manager Jim Scott was disappointed with the result but was encouraged by his team performance and commitment.

Jim is well aware that certain positions need strenghtning and will be working flat out to address these areas.

The Desert hosts Portglenone this Saturday at Dromore Park, kick off 2pm.
