Tyrone Milk Cup AGM

TYRONE Milk Cup Association will be holding its AGM on Monday, September 3 at 8pm in the Greenvale Hotel, Cookstown.

All present members are asked to attend and a warm welcome awaits any new members who wish to join.

The Association takes on the task of organising the logistics of taking two soccer teams up to the North Coast each year to take part in the NI Milk Cup.

The Northern Ireland Milk Cup is one of the best, if not the best youth soccer tournaments in the world, and attracts teams from all over the globe including Mexico, Japan and the USA as well as Premier League youth squads from Man Utd, Everton and Liverpool.

This tournament is a fantastic opportunity for local players at Under 15s and 17s to compete against the very best by representing their county, and at the same time put themselves in the shop window for all the top scouts to view and hopefully snap up for trials, and who knows what can happen after that.

Organising for this prestigious tournament just doesn’t happen and takes a dedicated committee to fundraise, book accomodation, transport, kits, give any required assisstance to the team managers and their backroom staff, and so on.

If you are a soccer fan from the Tyrone area and have always wanted to get involved in something worthwhile, then now is your chance. Not only will you be doing something you have an interest in, but you will be helping to facilitate young soccer players from the county to take part in a chance of a lifetime experience and quite possibly kick-start a successfull career in the beautiful game.

Come along to the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on Monday, September 3 at 8pm and get involved for the 31st NI Milk Cup 2013.
